Treatment Guidelines

Through our work with the Neurocritical Care Society and the Brain Trauma Foundation, we our improving outcomes for patients who have suffered mild and severe head injury. Research has shown that not all brain damage occurs at the moment of impact. Primary injury is followed by secondary injury over the ensuing hours and days as a result of brain swelling and reduced blood flow to the brain. In most cases, this secondary damage can be controlled when evidence-based care is provided in compliance with the Brain Trauma Foundation’s TBI guidelines.
